==History==

The club was formed in 1891.〔 They initially played in the Biggleswade & District League, before joining the Bedfordshire County League in 1922. After leaving the London League in 1960, the club became a member of Division One of the South Midlands League (a renamed Bedfordshire County League) in 1961.〔
In 1982–83 the club moved to the United Counties League, winning the Premier Division in 1984–85. Rising costs forced Arlesey to resign from the United Counties Football League, moving back to the South Midlands League in 1991–92. 1994–95 saw the club win the league with a record 107 points, and then better this achievement by beating Oxford City in the final of the FA Vase at Wembley Stadium. The Blues' fifth South Midlands League championship followed in 1999–2000, and Arlesey were promoted to Division Three of the Isthmian League. Their first season in this new division was a success with the club losing just two matches in the process of winning the league, scoring an Isthmian League record of 138 goals with a record 100+ goal difference and earning promotion to Division Two. In 2006 the club were moved transferred to Division One North of the Isthmian League, before being transferred back to the Midland Division of the Southern League in 2008.
In 2010–11 the club won Division One Central of the Southern League, earning promotion to the Premier Division.〔 In 2011–12 the club reached the first round proper of the FA Cup for the first time, where they lost 3–1 at Salisbury City. They repeated the feat the following season, losing 3–0 to Coventry City at the Ricoh Arena.
After four years in the Premier Division, Arlesey Town were relegated during the 2014-15 season, finishing in 22nd place.
